We have recently modified the top portion of the curtain in response to comments about light passing readily through the top when hung on rings. We’ve added a second hole to create a choice how to hang it - either in the exact same way as before, with the rings only using the top hole; or in a new way using both holes which hangs the curtain higher and blocks light where it is hung at the rod. To hang it lower, please simply change the rings to go through only the top hole, which makes the rod visible from the inside of the room above the top edge of the curtain. To choose this design, please select ‘With Rings (V2)’. In contrast, V1 has only a single hole to loop each ring through, and the rod is visible above the top edge of the curtain.

Our ethically made and sustainable organic cotton canvas shower curtain in the Earth Brown color is also a very good organic blackout curtain as the thick organic fabric and dark color combination does a great job at blocking out the light. Note: To prevent light from entering on the sides, top and bottom, please choose a size that is substantially bigger than the window/glass door, depending on how close to the glass the curtain is hung. Also allow for possible shrinkage when choosing the size.
