Care
Hand wash in lukewarm water or wash in a laundry net bag on delicate cycle (LUKEWARM water is best, not super tap cold, not warm, not hot; product may shrink or become felted at hot temperatures). Gentle biodegradable detergent only. No fabric softeners, no optical brighteners, no bleach. DO NOT put product in the dryer. Lay flat to dry (for knits) or hang to dry (for woven items). Products may retract slightly after washing. Gently stretch out to shape and steam-iron at the correct fabric settings (wool for merino, linen for hemp and linen), if desired (steam will restore fabric to the soft state in which you received them). At the workshop, we pre-wash our fabrics before cutting and sewing them. Then we steam iron each product. We do not use any wrinkle-proofing or anti-shrinkage or no-iron chemicals in any of our products as these forever chemicals (like PFOA and PFAS) are often toxic and harmful. Socks Fit Too Loose

As much as I appreciate Rawganique’s mission to being environmentally conscious & sustainable, these socks fit too loose on my feet. Even the smallest size was just too big for my size 7 shoe in women’s. I had no sizing guide for feet to go by. Also, the cotton fabric wasn’t as soft as I’d like it to be. If you have bigger feet, these socks might be suitable. If not, I wouldn’t recommend buying these.

Skeptical at first but now 100% sold

I wanted - needed - elastic-free socks, preferably from organic cotton or linen. I was very happy to find both here (and the merino too which I didn’t know about). I wasn’t sure how functional they would be, considering that all other socks out in the world have elastic in it. I bought a pair each of the organic cotton, linen and merino crew socks. These Canaltown organic cotton socks are surprisingly functional - they stay on and don’t slide down, even after a whole day of wearing indoor and out. They hug my feet but without confining or compressing them. It’s the best feeling ever. I’ve worn them every day now for three weeks (between washings, of course). They washed great in the machine and I dried them on a rack but I may gingerly try putting these in the dryer next time, being that they are made from cotton. I think I’ve found my sock mate! I don’t want to ever go back to elastic polyester synthetic socks ever again. These socks are it for me. I love the merino and linen ones too.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns Policy

To exchange an item, please return it for refund per the instructions and conditions below and re-order what you would like instead. There is a 5% restocking fee on returns, but not on exchanges for a different size of the same product.

Most products are returnable in original new condition (unworn, unscented, unwashed) within 30 days of receipt for refund. Between 30 - 60 days from receipt, we may accept returns for store credit, only with explicit prior return authorization by email. After 60 days from receipt returns are not accepted.

Cut fabrics, custom production items and made-to-order bedding items, as well as underwear, mouth masks, and anything washed, worn, scented or soiled, for hygiene and in consideration to chemically sensitive customers, are absolutely not returnable. By ordering online, the customer accepts that the seller alone determines whether a return is in acceptable condition.

For example, sheets and blankets that have been taken out of their packaging and all pillows, mattresses, and comforters are not returnable. For reasons of hygiene and in consideration to chemically-sensitive customers, our pure organic towels are not returnable once opened or used. If you are unsure, please get a wash cloth or hand towel to try out before ordering larger sizes or multiples. Closeout items are marked as such on the product pages, and are also non-returnable.

Shipping is non-refundable.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Please choose only ‘Money Order’ (not credit card, since it will be refunded and you will lose potentially significant currency conversion fees). Then we’ll email you the bank info to send the payment to, and once the full amount of the order total in USD has been received, we’ll ship the order.
