This medium weight 100% organic cotton hoodie is one of our customers' favorites. A main staple in any eco-wardrobe. In terms of weight, the Carmel Valley organic cotton hoodie is warmer than the Surf City Hoodie, but not as warm or thick as our double-brushed organic cotton fleece found in Buffalo sweatshirt and other fleece styles line Mont Tremblant organic cotton fleece hoodie.

Please check this sizing info if you're new to this item. The fabric and cut drape well so going for the large size is advisable if you normally wear men's small or medium. 2 measurements are given for sleeve length. The first is the length from the shoulder seam to end of sleeve. The second is the length from the collar seam to the end of sleeves

This 100% Organic Cotton Hoodie is made in USA from a medium weight & cozy single jersey outside - French terry inside. Featuring rib knit cuffs & bottom hem. Cut on the snug side, our organic hoodie is designed for surfers but suitable for everybody. Super cozy!!! This is an essential necessity in any organic wardrobe - it is untreated, unbleached & undyed. No dioxin, no formaldehyde, just plain old pure elastic-free 100% USA organic cotton goodness.

Since 1997, we have been getting our cotton from a small certified organic farm in Texas, grown by the same family for over 100 years. For the cotton to be certified organic, the field must have been farmed chemical-free for 3 years. The cotton is ginned at their certified organic gin, and spun into yarn in North Carolina. The products are then sewn for us in South Carolina - for a finished product that is grown and made entirely in the USA.

We are a small company by choice, so that we can continue to make truly organic products sweatshop-free in USA and Europe. As you may know, going big usually means going to China or India where we and our customers would have reservations concerning troubling labor practices and rampant usage of industrial chemicals.

All of our products are made on a small scale with farms and workers that we have worked with since our beginning. This allows us to make innovations like using organic elastic and threads and plastic-free natural buttons developed in-house. And of course there are never any pesticides or industrial chemicals used in growing our fibers or making our products. We serve many chemically sensitive customers, and our world-view has always from the beginning been to protect the environment, animals, and people. That is why we do what we do. Returns & Exchanges

Returns Policy

To exchange an item, please return it for refund per the instructions and conditions below and re-order what you would like instead. There is a 5% restocking fee on returns, but not on exchanges for a different size of the same product.

Most products are returnable in original new condition (unworn, unscented, unwashed) within 30 days of receipt for refund. Between 30 - 60 days from receipt, we may accept returns for store credit, only with explicit prior return authorization by email. After 60 days from receipt returns are not accepted.

Cut fabrics, custom production items and made-to-order bedding items, as well as underwear, mouth masks, and anything washed, worn, scented or soiled, for hygiene and in consideration to chemically sensitive customers, are absolutely not returnable. By ordering online, the customer accepts that the seller alone determines whether a return is in acceptable condition.

For example, sheets and blankets that have been taken out of their packaging and all pillows, mattresses, and comforters are not returnable. For reasons of hygiene and in consideration to chemically-sensitive customers, our pure organic towels are not returnable once opened or used. If you are unsure, please get a wash cloth or hand towel to try out before ordering larger sizes or multiples. Closeout items are marked as such on the product pages, and are also non-returnable.

Shipping is non-refundable.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
