Not waterproof. Many customers have reported success with applying natural oils and waxes to our hemp shoes and bags to make them water-repellent.
Customers have reported that the Hemp Ballerinas are running almost a size bigger than usual. Please provide us with your foot measurements at checkout so that we can double-check sizing for you.

Care: Hemp Ballerinas are not washable. Spot clean as needed with a small brush and warm water. Our Hemp Ballerinas are not waterproofed. Many customers spray waterproofing oils on their hemp boots, but generally we don't recommend using your hemp footwear in wet conditions. Let dry naturally after every use or cleaning. Dark colors may transmit to socks when wet or moist.

Hemp cannot be expected to be as durable as leather, but the point is that many people prefer to consciously live a life free of any animal products, and that is why these hemp shoes are made: to offer a sweatshop-free, vegan alternative in the shoe marketplace.

Returned it

i had to return these shoes. I like the fact that it was a Hemp shoe without any plastics. However, my foot kept slipping out of the shoe even though I put a pad on the back to prevent slippage.

Hemp flats - love them!

Really beautiful shoes, but...

Really beautiful shoes and they seem well-made, but I can't seem to break the heel in. Even on a short walk, my heel will get rubbed raw. I may wear with bandaids at work anyway (if I ever see people in person again! COVID!) because they are super cute.

Lovely Shoes

I purchased a pair of these lovely shoes in black. They are so light and comfortable. I would have bought another pair of them in the Natural color if it had been available in my size.

Love these - light and comfy all day long

I got a pair in red, then immediately got another in teal. Love that these flats are super light weight and very breathable. I walk with them and wear them at work all day long, and I'm standing most of the day, and I never had any issue with them. Please make more colors!!! Love them XXX.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
