Style: Organic French linen bed sheets

Fabric: 100% organically grown French flax linen (with a small portion of Belgian and Romanian flax in some years). Since we started making our linen sheets and experimenting with different weights, we have now settled on 6oz as our ideal happy medium, thanks to countless customer feedback over the years. The 6oz weight will delight even the strictest of connoisseurs while retaining the durability and coziness factor that the best linens are known for. Finer and one may start to compromise on the durability. Each batch of our flax linen fibers are grown on a minimum of 39 homesteads to preserve the integrity and genetic & soil diversity of the resulting fiber. The crop is harvested before the seed heads mature to ensure that the resulting linen fabric is as resilient and strengthful as possible. Each field is only grown to flax once every 7 years as flax is heavy feeder, so the fallowing allows the soil to recover from each crop.

Care: Machine wash with like colors on low/gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Avoid machine drying, if possible, for longer life of your sheets. If you must machine dry, please use low heat/delicate cycle & remove promptly. Linen fibers do not like high heat. Iron at linen settings, if desired. Please note that the durability of natural fiber products may be reduced by chlorine and other acids added to municipal water.

Homage to Linen

Slipping into my bed between these new organic fine linen sheets for the first time, I feel a sturdy weightiness touching my skin and enwrapping me as I drift into a liminal space between wake and sleep. Images drift into my consciousness. First, field mice come to me. Why? I wonder. A barn owl comes to hunt the mice. Then I realize that the flax fields where these sheets originated are contained within them still. I am a part of restoring the earth rather than degrading it.
More images come to me: The long strips wrapping the mummy of King Tut; the Shroud of Turin bearing the visage of Christ; the durable sails of Phoenician ships exploring trading routes; swaddling blankets for babies like Moses; slings for broken limbs from accidents and violence. I realize I’m also slipping between the pages of the history of human civilization.
Agricultural restoration. Human birth and death. Adventure. Protection. Healing. More than sex goes on between these organic fine linen sheets.

Wonderful feel that just gets softer and softer as you use and wash them. They may feel a little stiff at first, as linen does, but after one use/wash, they are already soft and cool and wonderful.

Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
