Linen pre-washing and shrinkage is not an exact science without the use of forever chemicals, which we do never use. We have allowed for shrinkage in our dimensions but again, with something untreated like these all-natural raw linen sheets, it's not an exact science (there are simply too many variations in use conditions and laundry machines out there). Our organic linen sheets are untreated and unprocessed and exactly like the renowned linen sheets of yesteryear (before chemicals and synthetics came along), the renown which spanned continents and were the stuff of legends. One of the greatest things about organic linen sheets is there breathability: the linen fabric wicks away moisture at a fast pace to keep you dry and cozy throughout the night. Of course, if you have allergies and sensitivities, our organic linen sheets have been known to "disappear" them, due to their being completely free from synthetics and chemical treatments that are commonly applied to sheets by other manufacturers in the industry. 

Our organic linen sheets come from a diverse pool of flax linen plants and varieties that are grown on at least 39 fields of flax plants (from which the linen fibers come); these fields are rotated out for 9 years to maintain the genetic integrity and diversity of the resulting flax linen fibers, which result in stronger yarns. The flax is harvested before seed heads mature to achieve the maximum suppleness and vigor in the resulting linen yarns. Our flax plants are organically grown and processed with no GMO, no pesticides, no toxic dyes or chemicals.

The labor-intensive traditional processing of the flax yarns result in absolutely luscious organic linen sheets. We now finish our organc linen sheets in relaxed styling without the stiff hand from hard ironing that is commonly used for linens. There is no need to iron your organic linen sheets after washing them if you don't want to. Linen is naturally anti-bacterial so wash your organic linen sheets are infrequently as possible to prolong their usefulness. Unbleached & dye-free Natural color or Black Platinum color from biodegradable dyes made in Switzerland.

In each batch, our flax fibers are grown on a minimum of 39 homesteads to preserve genetic and soil diversity and ensure that the resulting linen fabric is strong and durable. Each field is only grown once every 7 years to allow the soil to recover the heavy-feeding flax plants. Our fibers are harvested before seed maturation for more resilient, stronger fabrics as the plant hadn't used up all its energy in seed production. Over many years of experimenting with different weights, we have settled on 6oz as the ideal weight for our luxury linen sheets - this weight is fine enough for even the strictest of connoisseurs while retaining the coziness and durability factor.

Care: We have pre-washed and allowed for normal shrinkage when making our linen sheets. Machine wash with like colors on low/gentle cycle. Hang to dry or line dry. Avoid machine drying, if possible, for longer life of your sheets. If you must machine dry, please use low heat/delicate cycle & remove promptly. Do not leave the sheets crumpled up; fold them or spread them out on the bed after laundry. Linen fibers do not like high heat. Steam iron at linen settings, if desired, but not necesssary if you spread the sheets out on the bed right away. Please note that the durability of natural fiber products may be reduced by chlorine and other acids added to municipal water.
