India Collar 100% Organic Hemp Shirt
The Tranquility India Collar Hemp Shirt features a classic India collar (it's seamed to stand up as a button-free banded collar with a V slit) that does quite well in dressy situations. Roomy but not baggy. It substitutes for regular shirts for those needing to wear shirts for work but who are looking for a more gentle, alternative look. Excellent for casual or dressy wear, plus meditation and Tai Chi.
The Tranquility Hemp Shirt is not made in a factory (so it is sweatshop-free): instead, it's made by sew-at-home Thai artisans in their 50's and 60's who get to stay home with their families and earn higher-than-average income. Note: there is no word for hemp in their language (in contradistinction to the regulated substance) so the label says linen for the linen construction of the hemp fabric.
Note: Current shipment of the Tranquility Hemp Shirt is made at the Rawganique Atelier in Europe. The measurements provided are for the European production. We have some stock left from the previous Thai Artisanal production, too, which is cut a little smaller.
Behind the name of the India Collar Tranquility Hemp Shirt: Tranquility means different things to different people... It could be birds singing in the canopy of 1000-year-old cedar trees, the sound of water rushing over rocks in a meandering creek, warm light filtering through deciduous trees in the heat of summer, verdant forests and snow-capped mountain peaks as far as the eye can see. All of these and more are perfect in their tranquility because they are part of the natural world: vast and infinite, yet abundantly sustainable.
We wear certain clothing because they make us feel a certain way. Many of our customers live in cities, yet they also long for infinite skies, distant mountains, and nurturing primordial forests. They have told us that they want to bring as much nature and sustainability into their lives as possible, through the things they consume, wear, and see everyday. And bringing a sense of purity and peace through sustainable clothing & home products has been our goal from the beginning, and the India Collar Tranquil Hemp Shirt reflects that. It is yet another sustainably made product in our line of clothing inspired by yoga and meditation and tranquility of the East.

I live way out in the desert off grid and I'm cooler in this shirt than without it. But with the short sleeve tunic that I got also over it I'm comfy warm in the desert night down to about 50°F no fire at all. I love the look and it feels so damn good on! It wrinkles up in the sleeves after a while, but just a tiny misting of water and their gone and I would take any stars away because all linen/ hemp shirts wrinkle that's regular but some will even wrinkle in the torso and hold them this shirt never does that.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping & delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
