One kilogram (2.2 pounds) of flax sliver makes about approximately 220 feet of pencil linen roving, which is ready to be spun on a weasel, for example. The organic linen sliver can easily be mixed with sheep's wool, llama wool, raw silk or cotton, to make for a very unique organic linen blend yarn that is ready for knitting or weaving.
The organic flax linen sliver - top is also perfect for needle felting and machine felting! We have created miniature animals out of this. It felts easily.
This special organic flax linen sliver is ready to be be carded (manual or electric carder) or spun (we use a hand-spinner or electric spinner). The resulting carded or spun organic linen fiber threads can then be used for flax linen knitting and flax linen weaving. You can mix the organic linen fiber sliver top with hemp, wool, or silk and have a beautiful blend ready for making your own custom garment, scarf, mittens, or blanket!
Our all natural, organic flax linen top - sliver has been through scrutching and hackling. Organic flax linen roving is versatile for all your knitting and weaving creations.
