Our hemp yoga mats - hemp meditation mats work best on carpeted floor as they do not have a rubber backing (something which many of our customers specifically requested either because they are allergic to rubber and/or they are averse to chemicals and want something completely natural and hence rubber-free).

Of course, for meditation, the type of floor is not an issue. For a sitting meditation, you may want to fold the mat twice or three times so you have a thicker cushion under while you sit. Those who practice yoga on hardwood floors would do best to get widely available naturally-processed latex backing that they can sew onto our hemp yoga mats or simply put under the hemp mats when needed.

Our hemp yoga meditation mats measure the standard 24" by 72" and are designed for easy traveling. Rolled up or folded up to shape, they easily accompany you to your yoga or meditation practice — they will make for a bigger roll than thin synthetic or rubber sticky mats, though.

Care instructions: Our hemp yoga mats - meditation mats are machine washable in warm water with like colors using a mild, biodegradable detergent. They are best hung or laid flat to dry. If you wish, you may machine dry them at low heat/air dry setting but we generally do not recommend it as excessive linting may occur.
