• How are your hemp curtains different?
  
  They are made in Europe from organically grown European hemp under fair labor conditions. They are similar in look and feel to heritage linens and have a good insulation value. They are offered with unique matching hemp macramé curtain rings which add a special touch of distinction and elegance to any room. If you need more height, additional sets of rings can be purchased.
  
  
• How many sizes do the hemp curtains come in?
  
  4 sizes (prices include hemp rings): 24" x 86" ($59), 48" x 86" ($99), 48" x 72" ($89), and 73.5" x 72" ($109). We also offer hemp Roman blinds in 4 sizes. Many customers also hang our hemp or linen table cloths (which are available in more than 10 sizes) as curtains using clip rings.
  
  
• How about colors?
  
  5 colors: Cafe Au Lait (natural), Ivory, Burgundy, Sage, Indigo, and Alpine Meadow Blue. On a bright day, light will filter through Natural and Ivory hemp curtains, for a soft glow that adds warmth and ambience to any decor.
  
  
• How do hemp curtains fight Global Warming?
  
  Hemp is a rapidly-growing sustainable, renewable resource and ours is grown organically with no chemicals or pesticides. Hemp enriches the soil as it grows by shedding tons of leaves, mulching the ground, helping the soil to retain moisture, and adding nutritious organic materials to the soil, which feed soil organisms. Hemp also insulates well, so your living space will require less heating, and hence less energy consumption. Hemp is a very strong natural fiber and has a long useful life, as opposed to petroleum-based synthetic curtains which degrade quickly in the sun and are as good as disposable. Hemp is also easy to keep clean (a good shaking gets rid of dust) and can be machine washed with biodegradable detergents.

We are proud to introduce our much-anticipated 100% Hemp Curtains/Draperies, especially made for us from certified organic European hemp fiber. The hemp linen fabrics that we use drape beautifully -- with a natural resilience & spring that keep them from drooping.

100% hemp linen fabric is naturally resistant to destructive UV rays and won't break down in the sun, even with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Curtain Panel A is 86 inches long (not including the 100% hemp macramé rings which add 4"-6" to the overall height) and offered in either a 24" or 48" width to fit most windows and French doors. Curtain Panel B is 72" inches long and available in wither a 48" or 73.5" width, which makes it especially perfect for wall-to-wall windows. The 100% hemp macramé rings are included with your hemp curtain purchase.

Hemp Curtain Panel A features a slitheringly soft, willowy, and drapey 100% hemp linen fabric (6 oz/sq yard). Hemp Curtain Panel B features a slightly thicker 100% hemp line fabric that has a bit more body and the same beautiful drape (10 oz/sq yard). Curtain Panel B also doubles up as 100% hemp shower curtain -- in fact, they have been so popular with our customers for both purposes that we've added the Curtain Panel A in response to customer request for more sizes for their window treatments.

Our hemp curtains are available in 7 natural and/or biodegradable fiber-reactive colors (color options depend on style: please refer to chart below.
