This ribbed fabric has a lot of integrity to hold the cut and shape of this special organic shirt in place so it doesn't sag the way some knit shirts do. The jersey — as opposed to woven — fabric conforms to your body, making for a very cozy comfort unlike traditional woven shirts which have "springier" fabrics.

• What are the buttons made of? Sustainably collected, completely natural seashell buttons.

Truth be told, the name Urban Sophisticate derives from our designer's original intention of having this be the perfect organic eco-urban shirt; all the same, we happily wear ours in the most rural of areas with no ill effects, and the shirt looks awesome with a pair of our favorite organic jeans. :) The Urban Sophisticate Organic Cotton Knit Shirt is like a trusty old shirt that never needs ironing.
