The RG3060 Ahimsa V-Collar Hemp Shirt is ideal for those needing to wear collared shirts but who prefer not to have to button the shirt up. Its name (ahimsa is non-violence towards all of life and nature) and pure white color pay homage to the traditional Thai design it's based on, which had its origin in meditation communities (intentional communities that espouse simplicity and sustainability and shun all forms of violence, greed, and inequality). Straight side slits complete the design in elegant form. The cut is roomy but not bulky, thanks to the beautiful drape of the hemp fabric. This tranquil hemp shirt is perfect for formal wearing, but its clean zen design goes just about anywhere in any situation, casual or dressy.

The RG3060 Ahimsa V-Collar Hemp Shirt part of the Eco-Atelier Collection, which means that this product is not made in a factory: in fact, it's individually hand-crafted by sew-at-home Thais in their 50's and 60's who get to stay home with their family and earn a higher-than-average income. Each sewer has had years of experience under her/his belt. Their love for their craft shows in every detail.

The fabric is a slithering crisp (yet soft & cozy) organically grown European hemp and flax linen combination. Note: Since there is no word for hemp in Thai (as opposed to marijuana), the label just states the content as generic linen ("linen" for the weave, whereas the fibers are from flax linen and hemp).
