Our hand-crocheted hemp bath mats in various sizes (including the new 4'x6' size which is suitable for using as hemp area rugs; hemp toilet lid cover and toilet contour are shown top in Natural) are elegant and truly sustainable. They are hand woven exclusively for us using only certified organic European hemp yarns. We are very excited to be introducing this very special hemp product, which has long been in development in response to our customers' request for more hemp content in our line of European hemp bath accessories.

The single layer hemp bath mats and area rugs are meant for use with an anti-slip bottom layer (normally made from natural latex) to help keep rug in place and in shape and to reduce wear-and-tear due to foot traffic.

If you prefer the more familiar terry bathmats, we recommend our line of Organic Cotton, Hemp, and Linen Terry Bath Mats and Organic Hemp Ribbed Terry Bath Mats.

Please note that we use low-impact fiber-reactive dyes so color variations from batch to batch are to be expected. The Ecru Natural color is of course unbleached & undyed and varies from darker to lighter depending on the harvest season (rainy makes for a darker color). The soft-white Ivory color is derived from bleach-free hydrogen-peroxide whitening. The variations in shade and tone based on how the fiber reacts to the dye makes each hemp rug special and unique (truly one of a kind).
